Research Nurse – Neurology
Louisa is a Research nurse working at Ashford and St. Peter’s Foundation Hospital Trust. She qualified as an SRN nurse in 1998 and worked for 2 year prior to leaving to work in Saudi Arabia 3 years. After this she took 14 years out of nursing to have her children. She qualified with a degree (Ba Hons) in 2004 in Community nursing and consequently worked as a District Nursing Sister in Berkshire for 4 years prior to taking on the role as a Nurse Specialist. She worked as a Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist from 2009 at Hounslow and Richmond Trust for 9 ½ years. She joined Ashford and St. Peter’s hospital in June 2018 and continues to work in this field for 2 days a week. She joined the Research department in December 2018 and works undertaking the Neurology Trials 2 days a week. Much of the research being conducted at present in Neurology is based on Parkinson’s Disease which she is passionate about.
