Don Iro joined the Trust in November 2022 and is an entrepreneur, turnaround executive and board level business leader.
He has served in multiple senior roles within the private and public sectors spanning the UK, Asia, Middle East & Africa in large corporations as well as SME's
In 2021 he was elected Councillor for Bishops Waltham Parish Council, and currently Vice Chair of the council, and Chair of the Finance, Policy & Resources Committee. He also serves as a member of the Forces Strategic Independent Advisory Group (FSIAG) and Chair for the Custody Scrutiny Panel for Hampshire and Isle of Wight police. An Independent Governor for Solent University, Southampton and a member of its audit committee.
Don is an active supporter for Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and community and he provides mentorship on business, strategy, delivery and leadership.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering(Hons) degree, in Electronic Engineering from Solent University and numerous business and entrepreneurship qualifications.
