Cultural wellbeing

Cultural wellbeing is the vitality that communities and individuals enjoy through: participation in recreation, creative and cultural activities; and the freedom to retain, interpret and express their arts, history, heritage and traditions.

 

In this section:


Multi-Faith Chapels

Ashford Hospital - Located on the ground floor. Through main reception, turn left along the corridor towards Topaz Suite, and the centre is on the left.

St Peter’s Hospital - Location from the Duchess of Kent Wing - Walk straight ahead the sign says Multi-Faith centre, Chestnut ward on the left.

Location from the main entrance - Take the escalator up to level 3, turn left, then right following the long corridor past ITU / Maple and cherry (on the left). The Multi-Faith centre can be found at the end of this corridor on the right hand side.

 

Both centre’s consist of:

  • A Multi-Faith Chapel
  • A Muslim Prayer room
  • A Quiet room for both staff and families who may be facing distress.
  • We also have a Muslim ablutions room, for pre-prayer washing of feet.

 

Pre-COVID, the centre’s offered

  • A Roman Catholic weekly Mass
  • A Church of England Sunday Service
  • Friday Muslim Prayer

These are currently unavailable, but we look forward to being able to offer them again at a later date.
