Car Parking Charges
For any parking queries please contact our Travel Plan Office on: 01932 723675.
On 1st February 2023, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals increased their car parking charges for patients and visitors as part of the annual pricing review. Free parking for the first 20 minutes will continue for visitors who are picking up or dropping off patients and parking remains free for blue badge holders.
The new charges will be as follows:
|Duration||Charges from 1st February 2023|
|Up to 20 minutes||Free|
|Up to 2 hours||£4.50|
|Day rate (over 6 hours)||£10|
|Blue badge holder||Free|
New Electric Vehicle (EV) Charges
For the first time, we have introduced a cost for the use of electric vehicle charging points for patients at a rate of 35p per kilowatt. We currently provide four electric vehicle charging points for members of the public at St Peter’s Hospital and, plan to increase this number across our hospital sites over the coming years to meet future demand.
The new parking and electric vehicle charging points rates allow us as a Trust to continue to provide high-quality parking facilities and services for our visitors and staff.
We hope you are able to understand the Trust’s need to introduce new car parking charges at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, but if you do have any further queries, please contact Rachael Westerman, Assistant Director of Facilities.

Blue Badge holders are still exempt from any car park charges - please scan your badge at the payment machine, it does not need to be displayed in your vehicle.
Upon entering the car park, the first 15 minutes are free. If you drive in but cannot find a space, you will not be charged.
Alternative car park
Heathside Car Park is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from Woking Community Hospital. It uses a pay and display system (coin, card or cashless) as well as the RingGo App. It is operated by Woking Borough Council and can be found at Heathisde Crescent, Woking GU22 7AG.
Blue Badge Holders
Blue Badge parking is free at our hospitals. Blue Badges must be displayed in your vehicle and can be shown or scanned on exit.
All our disabled spaces are located close to the main hospital entrances and signs clearly direct the way for people with a disability. There is access on both sites for wheelchair users.
At St Peter’s Hospital disabled car parking is mainly located in the A&E car park. There is easy access into the corridor behind A&E. From here you can access the main reception area and the lift to other parts of the hospital.
At Ashford, there are ramps at both the Main Entrance and the Outpatient Department entrances. Both sites have easy access to lifts.
For those with mobility issues who find it difficult to reach our clinics or wards, wheelchairs are located at the main hospital entrances.
We recognise that for some patients visiting our hospitals regularly car parking costs can be a burden. We therefore offer the following concessions which are applicable at both of our hospital sites:
|Frequent visitors||Weekly parking permit - £25.00|
|Patients attending Haematology / Oncology Day units||Free for period of treatment|
|Patients attending long term cardiac rehabilitation clinics||Free for period of treatment|
|Parents attending our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Peter’s Hospital||Three weekly permit - £20.00|
