Governors have a number of statutory duties, such as appointing the Chairman and Non-Executive Directors on the Board and they also represent the views of their members, as such they are a way in which you can have a say in the development of your local hospital services. Andy is happy to discuss future developments or key issues facing the Trust with you. You may write to him c/o The Membership Office, St. Peter’s Hospital, Guildford Road, Chertsey, KT16 0PZ. Foundation Trust Membership
As a Foundation Trust ASPH is an independent, public benefit organisation. This means patients, members of the public and staff/volunteers have a greater opportunity to express their views and to be consulted on the provision of Trust services. A Trust member can influence the way in which the services are developed in the future, work with the Trust to strengthen the links with the community and therefore enhance patient experience.
As a volunteer, you have automatically become a member. You don’t have to do anything as a member - it costs nothing. You will receive a quarterly newsletter, ‘Members Matter’ providing updates on Trust activities. If you feel that you don’t wish to be involved, please contact the Membership Manager, Anu Sehdev at
