Ensuring Good Clinical Practice
Written by R&D Lead

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training is a statutory requirement, for anyone involved in clinical trials. All the research staff have received GCP training, and every two years an update refresher training is required.

The following GCP training is available:
  1. NIHR Introduction to GCP

This is a full days training, a copy of the programme can be found on the following link ???? This is highly recommended for staff who are new to clinical research, or who will be part of a core research team.

  2. On-line GCP training

This is a web-based training package, with a multiply choice exam at the end.

  3. Introduction to GCP (Short Course)

This is an hour session for staff who may be involved in a supportive role.

  4. NIHR Paediatric GCP

This is specific for those working with children.

There are a selection of Research Workshops, Research Forums and Consent Training available from the Surrey & Sussex Lead Research Nurses. For further information regarding training requirements or the training sessions identified, please contact the R&D office.
