Moving to a divisional structure allows us to create stronger clinical leadership, and to create stronger links between services where there are natural care pathways (e.g. acute medicine and emergency services).
We have nearly finished recruiting to our 30+ specialty leads which will help devolve even more accountability to front-line staff. The specialty leads will be responsible for developing a clinical strategy for their area and will lead the whole multidisciplinary team.
The divisions will be supported by four Heads of Nursing posts.
