Services provided by the unit
The service provides multidisciplinary assessments, advice and rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injury or complex neurological illness (e.g. Traumatic brain injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome)
Our Clinical Team
During your admission to the Bradley unit, you will be assessed and treated by different members of the Multidisciplinary Team as appropriate.

Other members of the multidisciplinary team includes:
Clinical Psychologists - Will help with the assessment management of emotional, cognitive (thinking processes) and behavioural changes which can happen as a result of neurological disease and injury.
Nursing Team - Nurses are involved in all aspects of your care and rehabilitation.. They work closely with the therapists, promoting your independence in the ward environment throughout the 24 hour period.
Occupational Therapists - Will work with you to maximise your independence. This may be in relation to personal care, domestic skills, community skills and work or advice regarding work. It may also be necessary for an Occupational Therapist to visit your home to assess your home environment and recommend changes or provide equipment.
Physiotherapists - Aim to help you regain as movement as possible and cope with any remaining difficulties.
Speech and Language Therapists - work with patients who may be experiencing problems such as slurred speech, difficulty finding words, understanding others, reading, writing or swallowing by providing assessments, therapy, support, advice.
The rehabilitation is patient centred and goal focused process with a very strong ethos on team work.
